The LX850 German Equatorial Mount with StarLock dual-image full-time Autoguider offers a new standard in Astroimaging performance. This sturdy mount Includes AutoStar II GoTo system with over 144,000 object library and all the features an advanced visual observer or Astrophotographer would ever want!

Constructed of machined stainless steel and aircraft grade aluminum the Meade LX-850 Mount has a 90-pound instrument load capacity. The rigorous machine quality, sturdy tripod and top-grade mount materials provide a rock-solid foundation. A 1.75 in. stainless steel right accession shaft ensures extra durability, while brass worm gears and 225 tooth aluminum gears ensure smooth and precise torque.

The StarLock technology uses an 80mm f/5 optic and two camera sensor system to provide computer assisted polar alignment and then guides the mount in real time, automatically programs periodic error correction, and achieves a guiding accuracy of up to 1 arcsecond in good seeing.
