Now, most standard 1.25-inch adapters will use a thumbscrew to secure inserted accessories- which works, but pushes an inserted barrel off center, hampering performance. On the other hand, the Precision Centering Adapter employs a lateral compression mechanism that accurately centers the 1.25-inch accessory on the telescope’s light path- enhancing performance, rather than hampering it! Once your 1.25-inch accessory is inserted, a simple clockwise rotation of the Precision Centering Adapter’s knurled top ring moves two steel rollers towards the exact center of the optical axis, precisely centering the accessory and securing it in-place.

This method has the added bonus of keeping your 1.25-inch eyepiece and accessory barrels free of scratches and dings from thumbscrews!
