This moderately sized, tough, well built expanding ring is an adapter; it converts internal M48 (2-inch Filter) threads to internal T-threads. The external M48 threads are on one side, and the Internal T-Threads on the other side; This ring is particularly handy in adapting accessories, like the MPCC, to the bottom of eyepieces or other accessories that are threaded to accept standard 2-inch Filters. The knurled exterior is well optimized for tightening it by hand, and the black anodized aluminum exterior is both sleek and durable.
