The Meade LX850 German Equatorial Mount with StarLock dual-image full-time autoguider uses an 80 mm f/5 optic and two camera sensor system to provide computer-assisted polar alignment and then guides the mount in real-time, automatically programs periodic error correction, and achieves a guiding accuracy of up to 1 arcsecond in good seeing.

Constructed of machined stainless steel and aircraft-grade aluminum the Meade LX-850 Mount has a 90-pound instrument load capacity. The rigorous machine’s top-grade mount materials provide a rock-solid foundation. A 1.75-inch stainless steel right accession shaft ensures extra durability, while brass worm gears and 225 tooth aluminum gears ensure smooth and precise torque.
