The Sky-Watcher Quattro 8″ (205 mm) Imaging Newtonian OTA is a great optical tube assembly for either visual astronomy or astro-imaging work. This fast 8-inch f/4 Newtonian telescope has a superb mirror set, allowing you to see sharp, high contrast images of celestial objects. Additionally, the tube length has been slightly shortened to optimize performance for doing prime-focus photography. A 2-inch dual speed 10:1 ratio focuser is included for precision focusing adjustments, and an 8×50 finderscope will provide bright views when you’re hunting down your favorite deep-sky object.

Sky-Watcher has designed a custom coma corrector for those astro-imagers with larger imaging sensors. The optional Quattro Coma Corrector will improve both visual and photographic performance by correcting for coma around the edges of the field of view, a normal aberration found in optical systems using parabolic mirrors, such as a Newtonian telescope.
